Mountain biking
Currently being refurbished, the Buttes stadium (built in 1920) is famous at La Machine for its underground combustion which caused the sports equipment to melt on the surface and made it impracticable, also because of the nauseating smoke which released. In the basements burned the waste of the mine, shales called "lower coals" which gave their red color to the ground.
