The ruins of a medieval castle built on top of a hill overlooking Salernes. From here you have a beautiful view of the historic city center and the surrounding countryside. There are two oval towers of the fortifications to be explored here, as well as the remains of the ground floor of the Buda Castle and some outer walls. The towers have been converted into viewpoints, but unfortunately they are not in a neat condition.

The castle ruins of Salernes are situated on a hill directly above the old town center.
A castle already existed here in the 11th century; the structure visible today essentially dates back to the Middle Ages and was later expanded.
In 1676, the castle was severely damaged by a fire and was subsequently not fully rebuilt.
What remains are primarily wall remnants and two round towers.
From the ruins, you have a very beautiful view over the rooftops of Salernes and the valley of the Bresque.
