Originally built to supply water to the high-altitude Dobel households, the tower now serves as a lookout tower. On the 1st floor it also houses an information room about the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park.

Mountain biking

The water tower is ideal in the warmer seasons as a starting point for many tours. There are also plenty of parking behind the water tower which is very convenient. In winter, there is a lot of scrambling and there is a very small ski lift, which is not always in operation.
