Skating

The artificial ditch and the weir offer a great photo opportunity. The Königsgraben branches off the Nuthe about 200 m before and joins the Nuthe north of Luckenwalde near Woltersdorf. Together with other channels, it serves to regulate the water in the Nuthe system.

Hiking

The weir is located on the skater track in Elsthal near the outdoor pool. 100 m away is a spacious skater rest area with a shelter. The Königsgraben branches off the Nuthe about 200 m before and flows back into the Nuthe near Woltersdorf. The construction of canals, such as the Königsgraben, and the construction of weirs on the Nuthe and Königsgraben are meliorative measures to reduce the likelihood of the Nuthe flooding.

Hiking

With this weir and the Nuthe weir, located about 300 m further west, the water flow in the two bodies of water can be regulated, thus providing effective protection against possible flooding.
