Overlook Trail takes hikers along the top of a 20- to 40-foot-tall cliff composed mostly of shale that has views of Big Run below. Big Run is a tributary to the Olentangy River. The waterway and its shores within the park are known for the small waterfalls and interesting geological features of "potato chip shale" and various concretions.
