The Franconia Notch Bike Path offers a truly immersive jogging experience through the White Mountains, winding alongside the Pemigewasset River and through lush forests. You'll be treated to continuous panoramic views of the Kinsman and Franconia ranges, with notable sights like Profile Lake and Echo Lake adding to the visual feast. The paved surface makes for a comfortable run, though the rolling hills and 413 feet (126 metres) of elevation gain over 6.3 miles (10.1 km) will give you a good moderate workout, typically taking about 1 hour and 4 minutes.

Planning your visit is straightforward, as the path is easily accessible with parking available at various points. During the summer, a convenient shuttle service runs through the Notch, allowing for one-way jogs if you prefer not to do an out-and-back. It's a multi-use trail, so you'll share it with cyclists and walkers, and amenities like bathrooms and picnic tables are available, making it a great family-friendly option.

What makes this route stand out is its direct access to many of Franconia Notch State Park's most popular natural attractions, allowing you to combine exercise with sightseeing. You'll pass by The Basin and get views of Cannon Mountain, and a section of the path is even part of the legendary Appalachian Trail. The scenery is particularly vibrant during peak fall foliage, offering a spectacular backdrop for your run.
