You will encounter a mix of easier sections on the East side and more challenging parts on the West, featuring frequent elevation changes and exposed roots. Plan for about 40 minutes to complete the loop, gaining 160 feet (49 metres) in elevation. Don't miss the Great resting spot with its stunning vistas of the waterways and their dramatic tidal changes.

    When planning your visit, you will find general parking available directly at the trailhead, making access straightforward. The preserve is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your leashed canine companion along for your jog. There are no specific warnings about seasonal closures or permits, allowing you flexibility in when you choose to explore. You can select your preferred jogging difficulty by choosing between the easier East trails or the more challenging West trails.
