Bull tower, city wall, green spaces - here at Goetheplatz the construction of the medieval city fortifications can still be seen.
Originally the bull tower was a semicircular house made of field stone. Soon after 1400 it was expanded into a brick tower with a battlement. It was the only fortified tower in Fürstenwald. In front of the bull tower were the municipal dairy and the so-called bull meadows. This explains the name Bull Tower.
