Hiking
When the city was devastated by the troops of Louis XIV in the War of the Palatinate Succession in 1689, both the hospital and the church were destroyed. Around 1700, only the choir was rebuilt as a chapel. In keeping with the stylistic sensibilities of the time, it was given a Baroque roof. The choir of the chapel is built on top of the city wall.

How large the hospital and church originally were is no longer known due to the extensive development.
