The Co-Cathedral of Santa María la Mayor is located in Plaza Mayor and takes up an entire block. It was burned down in 1940 and completed in 1999 by the architect Vicente Traver in the Valencian Gothic style. The neo-Gothic style is considered a cultural asset and historical heritage of Spain and is the pride of all the residents of Castellón.
