Fern Lake is a short and steep hike that takes you to a stunning green lake beneath Carson Peak. The hike can be challenging, offering a good amount of exercise in a well-marked and wooded path. It goes between aspens and pines, offering views of the June Lake area. Trekking poles can be useful on the way down.
