The Brea Dam – Four Corners loop from Fullerton offers a dynamic mountain biking experience, weaving through varied terrain that keeps things interesting. You'll navigate wide dirt paths, paved sections, and wilderness areas, passing Eucalyptus trees and even descending into the dried-up reservoir behind the Brea Dam. Keep an eye out for the scenic stream near Brea Creek as you explore the diverse landscape, which includes sections alongside a golf course and under Bastanchury Road.

This moderate 35.7-mile (57.5 km) route involves 2507 feet (764 metres) of elevation gain, typically taking around 4 hours and 28 minutes to complete. While generally accessible, be ready for a challenging dirt access road climb over the dam spillway. The trail system has many junctions, so studying the route beforehand with a mobile app is a good idea to avoid missed turns. Parking is available at Brea Dam Park and near the Fullerton Municipal Golf Course.

This loop is a key component of the popular Fullerton Loop, a well-trafficked network of trails in the area. It's known for its mix of surfaces and offers a good workout for intermediate riders. The trail's popularity means you might encounter many other cyclists, especially on weekends, so an early start is often beneficial. Check for any closures after rainfall, as some sections can be affected.
