Lorenzi Park is on Las Vegas' Historic Property Register as it was originally opened by David G. Lorenzi, a French immigrant, in 1912. In the 1940s, the site was sold and became a resort. It hosted the scientists and families who worked on the Nevada Test Site.
Now, it is a public park with two lakes, walking paths, restrooms and picnic and shade structures.
