Hiking

The panicle sedge is a summer-green, perennial herbaceous plant. It forms sturdy tussocks or clumps measuring 30 to 150 centimeters high and 1.5 meters in diameter, with a rich root system and very thick, dark brown roots. The erect basal stem grows somewhat in a tiered manner. The 60 to 150 centimeters long, sharply triangular, very rough stems grow somewhat arching and overhanging. The flat, gray-green, tough, and stiff leaves are up to 30 to 60 centimeters long and 3 to 6 millimeters wide, and cuttingly rough at the edges.
