That with the cobblers must have been a bit ago, today there is only one clog maker in the city.

Hiking
The Schustergang (Shoemaker's Walk) in Preetz is a central part of the town's identity, also known as the "Shoemaker's Town." It is a circular route that passes many historical sites and testimonies of the former shoemaking trade, which experienced its heyday in Preetz in the 19th century. The Schustergang leads from the Noble Preetz Monastery, an important cultural monument from the 13th century, through the town. Along the way, you pass various stations related to shoemaking.

Cycling
On the "cobbler's walk" lined with cobblestone tiles, you discover the cobbler's town of Preetz. The tour between the noble monastery and the town church is reminiscent of the shoemaker tradition and leads, among other things, to the giant wooden slipper, the cobbler's sculpture as well as to half-timbered houses and places of work of earlier craft guilds, in which today interesting specialist shops, cafes and restaurants invite you to stroll and linger.
