In May 2021, the city of Bilzen opened the search for an experienced winemaker for a 4-hectare site near Alden Biesen. The ambition? A quality wine estate as an additional tourist asset in Bilzen and in Limburg. After an open procedure, the choice fell on Wijndomein Montepertini owned by Fabio Celli and his wife Laura. Montepertini will thus gain a second wine estate! The first bottles of wine will be available for sale from 2026.
