Road cycling

Turning off the main road, the climb tilts up a super narrow road. The gradient constantly oscillates between 4 to 8%, giving amazing views back to the coastline. Just half a kilometre before the top the road steepens to a punishing 14%. At the top resides a chapel from which the climb derives its name as well as a lively bar where you can refill your bottles.

After the amazing descent from Sant Grau, the subsequent road toward St Feliu has to be one of the most beautiful rides in Europe. Its stunning. Green verdant mountains, corner after corner revealing beautiful little coves, on fabulous smooth road surfaces, and all balanced against an azure sea. This ride will stick in my memory for a very long time. It is quite possibly my favourite all time ride.
