Detached Neo-Gothic church located at the extension of the Market Square and surrounded by a recently cleared, largely walled cemetery; row of trees on Kerkstraat. Built from 1861 to circa 1865 according to the design of architect Eugeen Gife after the demolition of the former church. Restoration works in 1921 and following, under the direction of architect Jan Frans Sel.

There has been a church on this site since the 12th century, but it was replaced by a neo-Gothic structure in 1861-1865.
The church has a 16th-century triptych: Adoration of the Magi. There are also paintings such as: Our Lady with Child (16th century), Holy Family with Little John (17th century) and Jesus Handing the Keys to Peter by Jan Swerts (1841).
There is a 16th century wooden crucifix.

Hiking
It is a neo-Gothic oriented brick cross basilica with built-in west tower. The choir is closed on five sides. The tower has five sections and a constricted needle spire.
