Hiking
Locals say it's not illegal to enter and hike across (and there's even trail markings inside), but on some days they close the area off because of live fire exercises. Rule of thumb is apparently don't enter if you hear shooting and if the road ain't closed, you can brave it. We did (on a day when we could hear shots far away), but the road wasn't closed. It went well.
