Hiking

The White Tower, together with the Markusturm and Röderbogen, which still exist today, was part of the first inner city fortifications, the construction of which began at the end of the 12th century. Unfortunately, only the location of the other two towers in this inner ring, the Gebsattler Tor (Red Tower) and the inner Klingentor (Blue Tower), is known. The White Tower was the entrance to the city from the northeast.
