In the small town of Żarki, located in the Myszków district in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, a unique complex of several dozen historic barns has been preserved. The limestone buildings are concentrated in the eastern part of the city, near the city market, which is popular throughout the region. They were built in the late 1930s, replacing the earlier wooden ones that were destroyed by fire. A cyclical event called "Merchant's Neighborhood" takes place in one of the buildings.
