This is possibly the well that, in conjunction with the name Enicho, gave the place its name. There is also a popular interpretation; «Eng am Brunnen», which is interpreted as the beginning of the Wagram region. It was thanks to the plague patron Sebastian and the «Bründl» that Engabrunn had no deaths from the plague.
