Cycling
The Neptune Fountain in Piazza Duomo, Trento, was built between 1767 and 1769 according to a design by the architect Francesco Antonio Giongo from Lavarone. It originally featured a lead statue, which was badly damaged by weathering and had to be replaced with a bronze figure in the 20th century. The current Neptune statue is a 1945 copy, while the original is kept in the Museo Diocesano Tridentino. Besides its function as a prestigious ornament, the fountain also served as a water source for many years.
