This trail is relatively steep for the first mile; however, the views of the canyon make the effort worthwhile. The path is easy to follow, with several small creek crossings along the way to reach the cave. There is little shade, so it's best to leave early in the day. Additionally, wearing long pants is advisable due to the presence of poison oak along this beautiful trail.
