Coat of arms of the municipality of Altrich
The municipality of Altrich was granted the right to use its own coat of arms on April 29, 1971.
The coat of arms is divided into red and white. In the front half, the white St. Andrew's cross symbolizes the church patron, St. Andrew, who already appears in the old court seal from 1764. The back half with the three red balls is reminiscent of the former knightly family of Altrich from the 14th century.
The colors red and white refer to the historical affiliation to the Electorate of Trier.
