    Tips

    March 4, 2025

    Cycling

As at 2nd March 2025, there is an awful lot of work going on in the valley building a new cycle path on the north bank of the river. The bridge here has been removed. I forgot to take a picture.

It is a very long back track to Tayorstown to get on to the North bank. The north is bank is currently just passable on a gravel bike at the weekends but during working hours, I would expect the route to be closed. The work is going to take some time to complete.

    Gravel riding

As at April 2026, the north bank is open outside of working hours and they are getting ready to lay the final layer of black top.

    Cycling

As at May 10th 2026, the north bank cycle track is now almost complete, final surface is laid but work continues to finish the edges, also the track from the Leisure centre. Don't be surprised if it's all closed during working hours.

The old south bank track looks to be fenced off, hopefully this is not permanent as it should join the new bridge that has been constructed that joins the Leisure centre track to the north bank .
