The Druidenstein is an impressive natural monument. The basalt cone was probably already used by the Celts as a religious site. Every year on Ascension Day, a procession leads to the Druidenstein. Originally, the Druidenstein had an even higher peak, which was probably broken off for tactical reasons during the Thirty Years' War. In 1979, the Druidenstein was struck by lightning. Since then, it has had to be supported by reinforced concrete beams.
