Arashiyama Bamboo Forest 嵐山竹林の小径 / Bambuswaldpfad
Bamboos that cover the sky are neatly lined up
The road from Nonomiya Shrine to Okochi Sanso Villa through the north gate of Tenryuji Temple is about 400 meters long. The well-maintained bamboo forest continues on both sides of the road, making it a tourist attraction that represents Kyoto. It is said that it was a villa district for aristocrats during the Heian period, and on sunny days, the sunlight filtering through the trees is pleasant, and on days without sun, it becomes dark even during the day.
