The Temple of Ezra is dedicated to Khnum, the ram-headed creator god. The pronaos, the vestibule of the actual temple, is the only part of the temple that is still preserved. As inscriptions show, the deities Heka and Neith were also worshiped here.

The Temple of Khnum in Esna is one of the most fascinating examples of late Egyptian and Roman temple architecture. It is located about 55 kilometers south of Luxor and is now primarily known for its spectacularly restored astronomical ceiling.
