Tips

Franz Josef Klingen

April 8, 2023

Cycling

After the Schwammelioration in the 1920s and 1930s, the dyked Schwalm was higher than the surrounding meadows. This was drained by an extensive ditch system, which was connected to the lower-lying Laarer Bach, which flows into the Schwalm about a kilometer further.
