The Danube port in the 20th century:
1939: Founding of the company by Karl Mierka. Under the name Karl-Mierka Lagerei- und Umschlagsbetriebe Donauhafen Krems an der Donau.
In parallel, the Krems Danube port was created by the city of Krems. Based on this shared history, a decades-long close and good cooperation was established with the city of Krems and its subsidiary Kremser Hafen- und Industriebahn Ges.m.b.H. (HIB), which continues to this day.
2018: End of the era of long-time port operator Hubert Mierka
