The name Colloro
The name “Colloro”, in dialect “Clor”, would seem to come from Corylus, the Latin name for the common hazelnut, a plant that must have been particularly present in the region in ancient times.
According to others, the name derives from Clo which would indicate the “rock” on which Colloro is placed.
