The Crown Guard Bunker at the foot of Calvary Hill commemorates the fact that the Hungarian Holy Crown was last here in March 1945 before its 33-year exile abroad.
From here, it was taken to Austria and then to the USA, where it was held for 30 years. It returned to Hungary in 1978.
The Holy Crown is the most powerful sacred symbol of the Hungarian state and nation.
The Koronaőrz exhibition bunker is open to visitors.
