The "Géronstère" spring is the most famous mineral water spring in the countryside around Spa. Even Tsar Peter the Great went to the spring because he believed the water would heal his fever attacks.

Right next to the spring there is also a cozy inn today.

The reputation of the city of Spa has been made thanks to its water sources with medicinal properties. La Géronstère is one of the famous springs in the region. This famous mineral spring produces naturally bubbling iron water and is also called "l'Enragée".
It is mentioned for the first time in 1559 by Gilbert Limborh in his work on the acid springs of the Ardennes.
