From the ticket booth, a narrow path leads into the narrow, deeply cut gorge of the Kozjak stream. Wooden walkways, stairs, and a small suspension bridge lead along moss-covered rock faces deeper and deeper – the walls close in, it becomes cool, damp, and shady, until at the end the impressive Kozjak waterfall is revealed in a semi-enclosed rock chamber. The last section is among the most photogenic spots in the Soča Valley: the waterfall plunges about 15 m into an emerald-green basin, which it has washed out of the limestone over millennia.
