The Levada do Rei (PR18) hiking trail on Madeira leads through one of the most beautiful sections of the island's laurel forest. Very muddy in wet weather and only manageable with rubber boots or barefoot for a length of approx. 12 m. Furthermore, despite low utilization, relatively busy according to the portal. Payment is checked periodically.
