The Vijlenerbos (also called Vijlenerbossen) is a vast nature reserve in the far south of Limburg, in the municipality of Vaals, near the mountain village of Vijlen and close to the tri-border area between Belgium and Germany. The forest stretches for approximately 8 km, exhibiting significant elevation changes (up to over 100 m), and consists of a mix of coniferous and deciduous forests with sunken lanes, streams, and geological features. Numerous hiking trails lead across forest plateaus and past viewpoints.
