The current three-aisled church was built in the 16th century.
The heavy tower is particularly noteworthy.
In 1909-1910, the church was extended by 7.2 meters along the west side.
Claims of the Van der Gracht and De Ligne families (16th century) were reconstructed in the south wall.
Interior paintings include those by Serafijn Vermote, and in the chancel stands a colored marble tombstone of the Basta family.
The old part of the church has been a protected monument since April 19, 1937.
