Tapis Saint-Maclou, a large flooring company that owned all 41 Belgian Home Market branches until 2014, owes its name to this church. When Gonzague Mulliez's company was founded in the early 1960s, it was located just a few meters from the church. The entrepreneur drew inspiration for his company's name from the church.
