It was a coincidence that Gerd Brinkmann was working on his arable land in Bad Iburg when the radio report on wine growing rights in Lower Saxony was broadcast. Due to climate change, the state of Lower Saxony was able to award 7.6 hectares of wine-growing rights for the first time in 2016.
On May 23, 2018, the time had finally come and we could plant our vines. We planted 5068 vines on 1.5 hectares. With a slope of up to 27%, our mountain is the only recognized hillside location in Lower Saxony on which viticulture is approved.
