Over the Schussen leads the prestressed concrete bridge, popularly known as the "Tank Bridge", which still recalls the use of the Ried as a troop training area by the then French occupation troops from the nearby Langenargen district of Schwedi after the Second World War, into the Eriskircher Ried.
