Right at the beginning, the Waldstetten run-of-river power plant catches the eye. This thing has been running since 1940 and works with a turbine. Around 1.6 million kWh of electricity are generated here every year – enough for around 460 households. In addition, around 1,100 tons of CO₂ are saved. It's impressive what such a small power plant gets out of the Günz! ⚡🌊
