Cairn’s Cabin is a rustic backcountry shelter in Riding Mountain National Park, accessible via a short, just over 1/2-kilometre side trail from the Ochre River Trail used by hikers and winter travellers. There is a wood stove and sleeping loft, table and benches, and an outhouse. The cabin is free to use on a first-come, first-served basis year-round. Situated about 14 kilometres down the Ochre River Trail, it sits deep in the park’s interior forest and is an ideal spot for an overnight remote stop.
