Risdon Brook Reservoir is beautiful, nestled in the foothills of the Wellington Range, surrounded by native forest and rolling hills just north of Hobart. Built in 1968 on Risdon Brook, it supplies drinking water to Greater Hobart and is also a popular destination for walking, birdwatching, kayaking, and picnicking. The reservoir’s calm waters and picturesque backdrop make it a favourite destination for outdoor recreation close to the city.
