Gravel riding
This is one of the most ruthless, continuous road climbs on Tenerife. It starts at sea level (0m above sea level) in the Los Gigantes marina and ends at the Puerto de Erjos pass at an altitude of 1117m above sea level. This is over 27 kilometers of non-stop uphill riding, which mercilessly tests the toughness of the gears and the cyclist's fitness, especially when riding with equipment.

Gravel riding
• The entire climb is not uniform. The first, extremely technically demanding section from Los Gigantes to Tamaimo (road TF-454) is a murderous, asphalted frying pan, where the gradient regularly exceeds 10-12%, amplified by the sun reflecting off the black basalt rocks. After a short flat section in Santiago del Teide, the final 4 kilometers to the Erjos pass (road TF-82) are, in turn, stable, alpine switchbacks with a gradient of around 6-8%.
