The old pilgrim hospital is located in the central area of Boadilla del Camino (Palencia), in a small street situated at the back of the Plaza Mayor.
Currently, the original building no longer exists as such and the interior has been transformed into a private property, but the facade wall and its monumental doorway can still be seen intact at street level, protected as an element of historical heritage and the town's Jacobean route.

It can be seen that the portal is in the late Gothic style of the 16th century, the green wooden door closes a pointed stone arch, and surrounding this arch on the outside is a rectangular molding called an alfiz, which frames the door and in its upper corners has two heraldic shields carved in stone (the "seals" that certified the ownership and protection of the founder), on the sides it is supported by a pair of decorative columns.

In this place stood the Hospital de Peregrinos de Boadilla, founded around 1511 by Don Antonio de Rojas Manrique, who was a resident of the town and went on to become Archbishop of Granada and President of the Royal Council of Charles I. He designed this building so that exhausted travelers in the Tierra de Campos would have a safe place to sleep and receive free medical assistance, to regain their strength and recover before continuing their journey to Santiago.
