Cycling
Very lush and green trail running along the Highland Creek. Paved all the way but cracked pavement on few spots. Would recommend bigger tires for more enjoyable ride. Hiking would be incredible too.
Spot many wild life along the way (2 deers).

Cycling
We cycled The Highland Creek Trail in July 2020, and the sections of cracked pavement Ivan mentions are currently being fixed or rerouted. This meant we cycled on a couple very short sections of gravel. Overall, the trail was very smooth, even on our small-wheeled Bromptons.
Note that there are not many facilities (water fountains or bathrooms) accessible from the trail. Bring lots of water!

Hiking
The Highland Creek Trail runs from the mouth of the creek at Lake Ontario to Livingston Road North at Kingston Road in the Guildwood neighborhood, covering a length of approximately 9.5 kilometers. The path is paved throughout and is used by numerous cyclists. Nevertheless, there are occasional paths for hikers and walkers that run parallel to the trail. Several parks are located along the route, including Lower Highland Creek Park, Colonel Danforth Park with parking facilities, Morningside Park, and Greenvale Park; the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) campus is connected to the trail.
