Hiking

The place in front of the cathedral is called the Lugenstein. The word is probably not derived from the lie, but rather comes from the Latin word "Lex" = right, law. The court of the Saxons, who had been resident here since about the 5th century, was on this square. Justice was still spoken here for a long time. He was called Lögenstein in 1475 and 1525. There is evidence of a large boulder that marked the old Thingplatz until the 18th century.
