You will gain 103 feet (31 metres) in elevation over approximately 2 hours and 28 minutes, making it an accessible journey for most hikers. The trail guides you past the iconic Naze Tower, standing sentinel over the eroding cliffs, and offers views of the expansive saltmarsh and mudflats of Walton Channel. Experience the blend of sea air and the distinctive geology of this coastal area as you explore. Keep an eye out for diverse birdlife and the occasional seal in the quieter sections.
Before you set out, be aware that some sections of the path can be uneven, so wearing sturdy footwear is highly recommended for your comfort and safety. The cliffs along the route are naturally eroding and can be unstable; always maintain a safe distance from the edge.
