Impressive bridge as a steel structure and covered with wooden planks. The wooden planks make it quite noisy when a vehicle drives over them. The planks then rattle a bit.

Hiking

The bridge over the Aradena Gorge is impressive. Whether you drive or walk over it is a highlight. If you are amazed by the Aradena Gorge, gigantic views of the bridge from below are possible. If you are in the gorge near the bridge and a vehicle is on the way, you get scared. One fears a landslide, the noise comes of course from the vehicles 😅👌👍🌞🇬🇷😎

The Γέφυρα Βαρδινογιάννη (Vardinogiannis or Aradena Bridge) was financed and built in 1985 by a family from Aradena who had become wealthy in the USA. One of the most isolated villages in Greece (Agios Giannis) has since been connected to the road network. In the summer you can try a bunjee jump here every weekend (2022 for €100 each).
